Send Flowers to Barranquilla, Colombia

Barranquilla is Colombia's main Caribbean port, a hot, open-hearted city on the Magdalena river with a large diaspora in the United States, Spain and Venezuela. Flowers are sent to relatives in El Prado, Alto Prado, Riomar and Villa Country, and florists also cover the metropolitan area.

The Carnaval de Barranquilla, the four days before Ash Wednesday, is the city's defining celebration, and a bouquet is a way to join from afar. Mother's Day falls on the second Sunday of May, Día del Amor y la Amistad on the third Saturday of September, and the Velitas of 7 December open the Christmas season. For condolences, white arrangements are sent to the velación or the family home. Get-well flowers are often delivered to Clínica Portoazul, Hospital Universidad del Norte and Clínica de la Costa.

Barranquilla runs on Colombian time, six or seven hours behind central Europe and aligned with US Central or Eastern time. Order before midnight local time and the bouquet is delivered the next day. Roses, lilies, mixed bouquets and heat-tolerant plants are available year round. We need the recipient's phone number: the florist calls to confirm, and if nobody answers the delivery is rescheduled or left with the portería.
