Send Flowers to Medellín, Colombia

Medellín, the City of Eternal Spring, sits in the Aburrá valley and is Colombia's second city, known for its mild climate and the flower-growing hills of Santa Elena. Many paisas live abroad and send flowers to family in El Poblado, Laureles, Belén and Envigado, and florists also deliver to Sabaneta, Itagüí and Bello.

Flowers are part of local identity: the Feria de las Flores in early August, with its silleteros parade, is the city's biggest festival. Mother's Day on the second Sunday of May, Día del Amor y la Amistad on the third Saturday of September and Día de las Velitas on 7 December are the other key dates. For condolences, Colombians send white arrangements to the sala de velación or the family home. Get-well deliveries often go to Hospital Pablo Tobón Uribe, Clínica Las Américas and Hospital Universitario San Vicente Fundación.

Medellín follows Colombian time, six or seven hours behind central Europe and aligned with US Central or Eastern time. Order before midnight local time and your bouquet arrives the following day. Roses, lilies, orchids, mixed bouquets and plants are available. Please include the recipient's mobile number: if nobody is home the flowers are left with the portería or redelivered.
