Send Flowers to Cali, Colombia

Cali is the capital of Valle del Cauca and Colombia's salsa capital, a warm city at the foot of the western Andes with a relaxed, festive character. Caleños abroad send flowers home to Granada, San Fernando, Ciudad Jardín and El Peñón, and deliveries also reach Pance and the neighbouring municipalities of Jamundí and Palmira.

Mother's Day on the second Sunday of May is the key date, followed by Día del Amor y la Amistad on the third Saturday of September and Women's Day on 8 March. The Feria de Cali, from 25 to 30 December, fills the city with family reunions and is a lively moment to send a bouquet to someone you cannot join. Sympathy flowers are white and go to the funeral home or the family home; cemetery deliveries are also possible. Get-well arrangements are frequently delivered to Fundación Valle del Lili and Clínica Imbanaco.

Cali is on Colombian time, six or seven hours behind central Europe and in step with US Central or Eastern time. Place your order before midnight local time for next-day delivery. Roses, lilies, tropical mixed bouquets and plants are readily available. A recipient phone number is essential: the florist calls ahead and, if nobody is home, arranges another time or leaves the flowers with the building's doorman.
