Send Flowers to Cúcuta, Colombia

Cúcuta is the capital of Norte de Santander on the Venezuelan border, a hot commercial city whose families are often split between Colombia, Venezuela and further afield. Flowers are sent to homes in Caobos, Quinta Oriental, La Ceiba and Barrio Blanco, and florists also reach the neighbouring municipalities of Los Patios and Villa del Rosario.

Mother's Day, the second Sunday of May, is the busiest date, and Día del Amor y la Amistad on the third Saturday of September follows. Women's Day on 8 March and Día de las Velitas on 7 December are also popular, and graduations at the Universidad Francisco de Paula Santander come in December. For condolences, Colombians send white arrangements to the velación or to the family home. Get-well bouquets are commonly delivered to the Hospital Universitario Erasmo Meoz.

Cúcuta keeps Colombian time, six or seven hours behind central Europe and in line with US Central or Eastern time. Order before midnight local time and the bouquet is delivered the next day. Roses, lilies, mixed bouquets and plants are available locally. A recipient phone number is required so the courier can confirm the address and, if nobody is home, arrange redelivery.
