Send Flowers to Montería, Colombia

Montería is the capital of Córdoba in Colombia's Caribbean region, a cattle-ranching city on the Río Sinú known for the Ronda del Sinú riverside park, the sombrero vueltiao and porro music. It is a hot, flat city a couple of hours from the coast. Monterianos abroad send flowers to mothers, grandparents and partners for birthdays, graduations and condolences.

The Día de la Madre on the second Sunday of May is the busiest flower date in Montería, as everywhere in Colombia. The Fiesta Nacional de la Ganadería in June brings family gatherings, and Amor y Amistad in September is a popular date for roses. For a death in the family, friends send wreaths to the velación and accompany the novena prayers.

Order before midnight Colombian time and delivery takes place the next day in Montería. Include the recipient's phone number: the florist calls ahead and rearranges if nobody is home. Roses, lilies, mixed bouquets and plants are usually available; if a flower is not stocked locally, the florist suggests a close equivalent.
