Send Flowers to Popayán, Colombia

Popayán is the capital of Cauca in south-western Colombia, known as the Ciudad Blanca for its whitewashed colonial centre. It is famous for its Holy Week processions, recognised by UNESCO, and for its traditional cuisine. Payaneses living abroad send flowers to mothers, grandparents and partners for birthdays, anniversaries and the loss of a family member.

Colombia celebrates Mother's Day on the second Sunday of May and florists in Popayán are at their busiest then. Semana Santa is the city's defining week, when families return home and flowers decorate houses and altars. Amor y Amistad in September is another popular date for roses. In mourning, friends send flowers to the velación and attend the novena masses.

Order before midnight local time for next-day delivery in Popayán. We need the recipient's phone number so the florist can call ahead and reschedule if nobody is home. Roses, lilies, mixed bouquets and plants are generally available; if a flower is not stocked, the florist proposes a close equivalent.
